The 2017 Lily is a white blend named in memory of Gregg’s grandmother. Like Grandma Lily, this wine is full of character and stylishness. It is a blend of Grenache Blanc (40%), Viognier (33%), Roussanne (18%) and Picpoul (9%). Rich golden hues are a nod to the depth and intensity found in the glass. Perfumed notes of honeysuckle, orange blossom, and candied granny smith apples immediately leap out, followed by peach and crushed rock aromas. This wine presents intense richness on the palette with an elegant combination of apricots, chamomile, and Meyer lemon up front, followed by a lingering finish of tropical melons, papaya, and Asian pear. The wine ends with palate cleansing acidity that leaves you wanting more even with the unctuous tropical and orchard flavors that continue to evolve with each sip.
