The 2016 NMR (red blend) is named after Gregg's dad Norman Martin Rothberg who was a true artisan, spending his life creating beauty with his hands. Like his father's art, this wine has the same attention to detail and finesse only an artist can bring.
The 2016 NMR is totally ready to rock! It is a blend of Grenache (50%), Syrah (26%) and Mourvèdre (24%). The nose shows intense blackberry and that familiar aroma of holiday cookies baking in the oven. As the 2016 NMR hits your lips, you are immediately met with flavors of dense raspberries, strawberry preserves, and a hint of vanilla. This is a lush, velvety wine that finishes with soft tannins and enough grip to pair with a meaty main course. The 2016 NMR spent 22 months in barrel, aging in 50% new French oak. Only 150 cases produced.
